This Therm-o-Web + Gina K. Designs release has to be my favorite so far. The snowflakes are gorgeous, and there are so many designs to choose from. Both sets have beautiful holiday and snowy greetings. There are so many card possibilities with this release!
I was really inspired by the snowflake set. I was so inspired, I went to town stamping snowflakes over the Foil-Mates, and stamped them all wrong. The dies didn’t know what to do with that situation. Susie Moore created this helpful graphic (below) to guide you with your snowflake stamping. Thank you, Susie! My dies are greatful.
I kept it pretty simple with these cards. I really love the minimalistic look of a white card base and white card front. I sponged a little color on the front panel using a sponge dauber in Gina K. dye ink Ocean Mist and a little Turquoise Sea. I tried Sea Glass as well, but it was too green for the snowy, blue look I was going for.
I stamped one of the snowflakes all over the front card panel in VersaMark ink to create a watermark. I wanted that extra dimension behind the Foil-Mates snowflakes.
For my snowflakes, I stamped them in Sea Glass and rocked the edges in Tranquil Teal. This is the most amazing color combination ever. I used Therm-o-Web + Gina K. Designs Fancy Foil in Turquoise Sea.
I finished each card off with a few iridescent jewels (that I cannot stop putting on my cards… help me…) and a greeting.
I love that this releases had a wintery themed set as well as Christmas. For me in Wisconsin, winter lasts forever and a day, so winter themes work pretty much for any occasion.
I had so much fun making this tree! The entire tree is made up of Therm-o-Web + Gina K. Designs Single Stitched Oval Dies cut from GKD Grass Green cardstock. I used a little rectangle die to cut a stump from Kraft.
I decorated the tree with some foiled poinsettias and more iridescent jewels. This card does exceed the length and width of the cardstock, so it will need a bigger envelope.
I made this little background, but didn’t make a card out of it. I wanted to show what the row of lights look like when fully stamped. When I first saw this, I thought that the little nubbins off the ‘string’ were the lights and that they just stamped black. Never connected that the light shaped stamp could be a light bulb stamp that actually stamped the lights in colors. Genius.
I also couldn’t help but see that little stamp as a gumdrop. I stamped that stamp up-side down over this entire card front in the GKD colors Wild Dandelion, Passionate Pink, Tangerine Twist, and Lucky Clover. Gumdrop colors. I then took a Quickie Glue Pen and dotted it over every single gumdrop to adhere the glitter to look like sugar. Keep in mind that Quickie Glue Pens dry very quickly, so pour glitter on after gluing several gumdrops.
I stamped one of the greetings in the release onto a die from Therm-o-Web + Gina K. Designs Decorative Label Dies and used foam tape to pop it up a bit.
