The “Thankful Leaves” Stamp ‘n’ Foil line may be my all time favorite. Autumn is my favorite time of year, and these leaves are just perfect for autumn cards. I love the size and variety of leaves in this set. They’re nice and chunky, but don’t take up too much of your card. The delicate foil detail adds the perfect element. (Rose Gold Deco Foil is the best!)
For these leaves, I used my MISTI to stamp the leaves in GKD Sweet Corn ink. I then used a little sponge dauber to sponge Red Velvet and Honey Mustard for the red leaves, and Fresh Asparagus and Jelly Bean Green for the green leaves. I love the dimension and realism this technique gives the leaves!
For my main card, I wanted to create a wreath with the leaves. I first die-cut a circle from Kraft card stock so I had something to adhere the leaves. I made one row around the circle with the larger two leaves, and then I made a smaller row inside that row. I wasn’t loving the little gathering of leaf sticks in the center, so I created a little banner out of Kraft card stock.
On the banner, I stamped my greeting (from my stamp set, Thankful and Blessed 😍) in Versamark and heat embossed it in GKD white embossing powder. I wanted the lettering to stand out a little more, so I outlined the right side of the letters with a Copic multiliner pen. This just gives a little more depth to the letters.
For this little square card, I just gathered the leaves in a little bunch and stamped my greeting off to the side on my Kraft card stock circle. I used a few little brads to add some interest to the card.
I am loving all of this Kraft! Kraft is the one color that can be used for any holiday or season. It is my go-to cardstock.
