Today is day two of the Gina K. Designs blog hop, and we are featuring some absolutely gorgeous stamp sets. The first one is “Something Good” by Lisa Hetrick. When I first saw this set, I fell in love. It has the most perfectly versatile floral elements, and a WOOD SLICE! I could not stop creating with this set.
For this card, I stamped the amazing geometric shape in Gina K. Designs Black Onyx ink to create a frame. I made a mask for the same image, and stamped several floral images over it to make them appear as if they were coming from behind the geometric shape. I used Gina K. Designs colors Plum Punch, Dusty Rose, Innocent Pink, and Grass Green. Such a fun color palette. The little jewels really pick up that Plum Punch!
Lisa’s greetings are always so whimsical and fun. The greeting, “Have a good day.”, is one of my new favorites! This would be such a fun card to give someone who isn’t expecting it.
I showed a little sneak peek of these cards in my last blog post. I cannot get over the florals in this set. These colors really did amazing things. I used Gina K. Designs Innocent Pink, Peach Bellini, Dusty Rose, Applemint, Jelly Bean Green, Grass Green, and Sea Glass. I used a Lawn Fawn stitched heart die that I used to cut the heart out from Gina K. Designs Heavy Base Weight White cardstock. I added a little foam tape on the back to give it some dimension.
The first time I made this card, I felt that the heart looked plain on the white card base. I added some interest by using my Scor-Buddy to create scor lines on the card base. I scored every quarter of an inch. On some cards, I scored vertically, some horizontally, and one I even did diagonally! My favorite is the horizontal score lines.
Had to try Kraft! Seriously, Kraft will work anywhere. I love these little “Thankful” sentiment strips using the “Men of Faith” stamp set. Thank-You cards are so useful to have on hand, and these cards are so easy to mass produce.
This set even works gorgeously as a Christmas set! I love these little sprigs as berries. I used Kraft ink to ink up the stick (that was tricky) and Fresh Asparagus on the leaves and Red Velvet on the berries. A little Spectrum Noir sparkle added a Christmasy feel.
The scripty background is one of the brand new Gina K. Designs rubber background stamps, “Elegant Script”. It adds the perfect touch to a background. I inked it up in Kraft and stamped it on white cardstock. I sponged a bit of Kraft to soften the white.
The sentiments are from the stamp set “Seasonal Sentiments”. They are the perfect little size! I love the greeting “From Our Home to Yours”.
The next stamp set featured in today’s blog hop is “Rustic Autumn” by Theresa Momber.
I am so ready for fall, and this stamp set really gets me in the mood! I kept thinking about Pumpkin Spice Lattes while making these cards…
So much autumn-ness!! I used Gina K. Designs Red Velvet, Honey Mustard, and Sweet Corn to sponge this sunset over the card front. These inks blend so smoothly on the Gina K. Designs white cardstock.
I stamped the naked trees on the sponged sunset card front, and used the little maple leaf stamp in Red Velvet, Warm Cocoa, and Honey Mustard to create a fall scene. I love this little leaf! I used a greeting from my stamp set, “Thankful & Blessed” in Gina K. Black Onyx ink.
This is an amazing barn. So much fun to color on Kraft cardstock! I masked off the barn to add some of the tree images peeking behind it, and stamped the little maple leaves around the branches.
I used my Prismacolor colored pencils to add some quick detail to the leaves. I used another greeting from “Thankful & Blessed”. So cute! So many fall vibes!
Thank you so much for ‘hopping’ by! Make sure you comment below to be given a chance to win a $50 gift card to Gina K. Designs! The products I used are linked below.
