These little tags will spice up your holiday wrapping in a jiffy. The greeting, “I heard you were good this year…” is one of my favorites for using on Christmas gifts. And it’s in my new stamp set! 😍
I used the Holiday Wreath Builder’s itty bitty stamps to stamp around the greeting on my tags. The color palette I used is a modern twist on classic Christmas with the bright greens and bold red. The colors I used are all Gina K. Designs ink-
- Jelly Bean Green
- Grass Green
- Red Velvet
- Warm Cocoa
- Black Onyx
On their own, the tags are a bit flat. I wanted them to have some dimension, but I wanted it to be quick and easy. Enter the Nuvo Drops. These are so much fun and come in a wide variety of colors. They do take a little time to dry, so I like to leave my projects overnight to not risk any tragedies.
The Nuvo Drops that I used are-
- Ebony Black Nuvo Drops
- Morning Dew Nuvo Drops
- Nuvo Crystal Glaze (not actually drops; this is thinner)
I squeezed the Ebony Black Nuvo Drops in the centers of my poinsettias, not making a perfect drop. I wanted the centers to be more irregular rather than a circle.
See how the irregularity of the centers adds a little interest? I love how black and shiny the Ebony Black Nuvo drops dry.
The Nuvo Crystal Glaze is much thinner than the drops, making it easier to spread. I wanted the pinecones and berries to appear glazed.
Unfortunately for me, my darling hubby left his ipad and computer sitting right on top of my holly berries tag overnight, making them much less rounded. ‘Squashed’ would be a good word for it. I guess I still love him.
And there you go! Some fun tags to spice up your gifts and make you look impressive this Christmas. The products I used are linked below.
