I’m so excited to be featuring December’s Spellbinders Card Kit of the Month! Spellbinders was so kind to send me their newest kit, and I had so much fun creating with it.
Isn’t this kit gorgeous? 😍 I love the wintery theme and color palette that was chosen to go along with it. Here in Wisconsin, there is a never-ending chunk of time after Christmas called ‘winter’. This kit will be so handy to have around.
For these cards, I used the tiny elements in the die set to create a custom wreath. I arranged the pieces around a circle die-cut piece of cardstock using liquid adhesive. I used the “Happy Holidays” stamp from the add-on stamp set, Winter Wishes Clear Stamp Set, to stamp a greeting inside the first wreath. My second wreath uses a die-cut greeting that came in my kit. (I loved the little pack of die-cut elements that came in this kit!) For my third card, I used some stickers from the Gold Glitter Alphabet Stickers pack to create mine and my husband’s initials in honor of our first Christmas together!
The next few cards use elements from the pack of die-cut images along with some of the beautiful patterned paper!
Some of the die cut pieces in the pack are actually foiled in some places. The foil is a rose gold/coppery color that really adds a fun element to the cards. On this card, the top two snowflakes and greeting have foiled sections.
This photo shows the foil’s shine a little more intensely. 😍
This card has lots of shine from the patterned paper, die-cut elements, and the word ‘wishes’ which I die cut from a crazy cool piece of shiny metal-like cardstock in the kit. I love how unique this card is!
This jar from the Winter Wishes Stamp set is so perfect. I used colored pencils to color the lid and a bit of the jar so it wasn’t such a bright white. I laid down a layer of glue over some of the stamped images in the jar and dropped glue dots inside the jar for snowflakes before I sprinkled them with loose glitter. I die cut a few little snowflakes from the die set in the kit to add a little something.
I just can’t get enough of this jar.
I am always obsessed with tags, so I was delighted to see these tags included in the kit! I used a variety of dies to cut the pieces to add to the little tags. For one of the tags, (reindeer hat) I used one of the pre-die-cut pieces.
I had so much fun creating with this kit, and it really got me in the mood for the long winter ahead. (That feeling’s going to get old pretty quick.) The Spellbinders Kit of the Month is now available at the Spellbinders website.
Thanks for stopping by!
